🏃 Free 5K for the Kiddos

Looking for a race to do with your kids this Spring? Welchester Elementary School is hosting it’s second annual SOAR 5K Run (3.1 miles). Kids run for FREE, and there will be kids events like a 4H drop-in program and face painting. All proceeds go directly to the Welchester PTA, which helps pay for things like field trips, playground equipment, and community events for Golden’s only Title 1 school.

After a wildly successful first gathering, Cannonball’s book club is back on March 25th at 6pm—this time diving into Remarkably Bright Creatures by Shelby Van Pelt. This heartwarming tale of an unlikely friendship between a widow and a curmudgeonly octopus will have you reflecting on love, loss, and unexpected connections. 🐙📖

You will learn about landscape changes over the last 300+ million years…How do we ‘read’ rock layers? Why are some rocks red or green?   • 🔬Are you smarter than a 9th grader? (3/20 @ 6-8pm) - Come find out at the Dinosaur Ridge Science Quiz Bowl Watch Party. “Over Yonder [Brewing] & Dinosaur Ridge welcome you to a Watch Party for the Dino Ridge Science Quiz Bowl where 24 high school teams from around the state compete in the ultimate science trivia competition - especially geology and paleontology.” Don’t worry, that beer will take the edge off getting schooled by a 9th grader. 😉 

  • 🎻 Young Artist Concert (3/30 @ 3-5:30pm) - Listen to the Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto with 2025 Young Artist Winner, 16 y.o. violinist Li Yuqing.
