🐣 Easter Planning Around Town

Eggs are pricey, but the Easter Bunny’s got an eggcellent lineup of FREE fun this year. From hunts to brunch, here’s what’s happening! Be sure to book your brunch in advance!

🥚 Free Egg Hunts

• Golden Easter Egg Hunt at Natural Grocers (4/12 @ 11am) - Natural Grocers is hosting its second annual Golden Easter Egg Hunt, where shoppers can search for one of 12 hidden eggs to win up to a $50 gift card (eleven $10 gift cards and one $50 gift card). Families can also enjoy a kids' egg hunt, crafts, and free reusable bags for the first 100 little ones.

• Easter Egg Hunt at Parfet Park (4/19 @ 10am sharp) - The Kiwanis Club of Golden is hosting a FREE Easter Egg Hunt at Parfet Park for children aged 12 and under. “It doesn’t take more than a few minutes for all the eggs to be gathered up, so don’t be late!”

• Easter Egg Hunt at Maple Grove Park (4/19 @ 10am sharp) - Prospect Park & Recreation is hosting an Easter Egg Hunt in Applewood. They will have 3 different age groups and the hunt starts promptly at 10am.  There are also several Golden Easter Eggs that if found the kiddos can claim a prize!

ℹ️ Help a Student Out - Bridge Survey

Mine’s Daily Blast put a call for survey respondents for a “Thorson Honors Project at Mines.” Help a student out and offer your thoughts on the bridge over Hwy 58 and Washington. I took it, and it takes less that 2 minutes.

• ⛵️ Mine’s Cardboard Boat Race (4/12 @ 9am) - While E-Days at Mine’s is a celebratory weekend full of fun engineering challenges for students, there’s one event that you shouldn’t miss…the cardboard boat race down Clear Creek. And yes, it’s exactly what it sounds like. Spectators are welcome and encouraged!

• 🧁 Goldmine Cupcakes (4/12) - The store will be celebrating their 10-year anniversary the weekend of April 12th, which will include deals, giveaways, and raffle prizes.

• ⛑️ Wilderness First Aid for Climbers by Golden Mountain Guides (4/25) - “We identified that climbers face unique challenges when faced with a medical emergency. • 🏃 SOAR 5K Run (4/28 @ 8-10am) - Kids run for FREE, and there will be kids events like a 4H drop-in program and face painting. All proceeds go directly to the Welchester PTA, which helps pay for things like field trips, playground equipment, and community events for Golden’s only Title 1 school.
