Gal Behind the Goose Edition šŖæ
April 10 - Hi, it's me. I'm the goose, it's me. And news about Thursday editions.
Good morning, Golden!
You know, Iāve never officially introduced myself. How rude of me! Here I am, waddling into your inbox each morning, honking away with all the latest and greatest from Goldenāand yet you may askā¦ āWho is this stranger danger Iāve invited into my sacred space of Amazon orders, unopened coupons, and unread emails?!ā
Letās fix that.
š Hi, Iām Kelseyāthe gal behind the Goose (which you likely know if youāve made it to the end of one of these thangs). I live in Golden, and Iām an MBA student graduating in 30 days and 7 hours (not that Iām counting). Iām also a software engineerā¦but unrelated to software, Iām building a small creative business for kidsāto get them away from screens. (Sidenote: I went to my first Golden Startup Coffee todayā10 out of 10 recommend. Why didnāt I go sooner?!)

Golden Startup Coffee. So many awesome businesses being built here!
Iām married to the raddest dude around, whoās clocked thousands of trail miles around town šš»āāļø. Thereās probably a 97.34% chance heās run by you (as in literally running) in the last 13 years. And, as youāve seen already, we have the goodest pup around: Frankie (the intern)! She got her final shots today (thanks, Aspen Ridge Animal Hospital!) so youāll be seeing her on the trails too. š

Jarod, Frankie, and I at her first brewery visit.
I started this newsletter this year as both a creative outlet and a way to bring people togetherāto help folks find new friends or community, all while supporting Goldenās many awesome businesses. Thereās a lot happening in the world right now, and it feels more important than ever to lean into connection, small joys, and helping each other out. Thatās why I love featuring volunteer opportunities and great fundraisers. And honestly, I just really enjoy writing thisāhaving fun with it, and not taking it (or myself) too seriously.
And the goose theme? šŖæ Thatās just because I love alliterationāand geese are pretty cool. I created a post about it here.
Thanks for inviting me into your inbox, and I hope to see you around at one of Goldenās many fun events!
Stay curious. Stay kind. And stay a little silly.
āKelsey

šŖæ Goodbye Goose Thursday (Survey)
Just a quick headās up that Iāll be going to once a week newsletters. Putting this together is a labor of love that takes quite a bit of time so I rather have one quality newsletter each week than something spread too thin. Iāll also be experimenting more with formatting going forward.
š Iād love it if you could anonymously respond to a short survey ā”ļø here!
(Itās quickāI promise. Thanks so much in advance! It really helps.)
