🦆 Duck? Duck? GOOSE!

Guess who waddled into Goldens in Golden on Saturday? This Goose! Well… almost. When the goose costume didn’t arrive on time, we had to improvise. Enter: a very last minute rented duck costume. It wasn’t perfect, but it got the job done—and brought plenty of curious looks & big smiles!

🏈 Mines Football Welcomes Back Former Coach

Bob Stitt is returning to Colorado School of Mines as head football coach, bringing his wealth of experience and a history of success back to Golden. Stitt previously led the Orediggers from 2000 to 2014, amassing a 108-62 record during his 15 seasons.

Under his leadership, Mines won its first RMAC title in 46 years and secured its first-ever postseason victory. Known as an offensive innovator, Stitt set numerous program records that still stand today, and he was inducted into the Mines Athletics Hall of Fame in 2021.

Stitt will be formally introduced at a press conference on Feb. 11, as he and the Orediggers prepare for the upcoming spring season and a 2025 kickoff on September 4 at West Texas A&M.
